Sunday 8th November 2020 10:30REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: sadly no live services @ BUC

Because of the re-imposition of lockdown as of the 5th November, there cannot be any live services at Bridport United Church until December, according to the current instructions from Her Majesty's Government.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them

The Remembrance Day Audio Service from the United Reformed Church will this week be led by the Revd. Susan Henderson.

Sunday 15th November 2020 10:30BUC goes online during Lockdown 2

1)  The Dorset South & West Methodist Circuit Video Service is led by the Rev'd Peter Clarke and focusses on the well-known parable of the Three Servants.  The YouTube link is here:

 

2)  The Audio Service  from the United Reformed Church will this week be looking at the Parable of the Talents, and will be led by Revd. Catherine McFie, ministering in the Mersey Synod. Hymns this week include Phil Lawson-Johnston's Jesus is the name we honour, Dudley-Smith's Lord for the years, John Copley Winslow's Lord of creation, to you be all praise and Charles Wesley's Forth in thy name, O Lord, I go. 3)  The Soul Space Video Service, concluding the series on people who fell, lay or sat at the feet of Jesus, with a reflection by our own Jennie McGinlay.

4)  Sadly we must remain online for another 2 Sundays, but hope subject to HMG regulation, to be open for public worship on the 6th of December for our Annual Toy Service.The number of people permitted to attend the Toy Service may be limited so please keep an eye of any changes to HMG regulations after 3rd of December

 

Sunday 22nd November 2020 10:30BUC is still online during Lockdown 2

Sadly we remain online only, but hope subject to HMG regulation, to be open for public worship on the 6th of December for our Annual Toy Service.

The number of people permitted to attend the Toy Service may be limited so please keep an eye of any changes to HMG regulations after 3rd of December

OK - here are the options this week:

2) The Audio Service  from the United Reformed Church will this week will be based around the Parable of the Sheep and Goats. Thinking about how we are called to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, give shelter to the homeless...
