Pastoral Letter: w/e 6th March 2021

Dear Friend from Bridport United Church, Uploders Methodist Church or Hope and Radipole United Reformed Churches,

I have undergone a surgical hand procedure this week and so typing is reduced to my (weaker) left hand only, hence the very short non-news pastoral letter !!

Sadly, we are still on Lockdown and though communal worship is permissible it is strongly discouraged and, with the safety of our membership in mind, we have agreed to conform with our denominational recommendations to suspend live worship.  Following the Government’s Roadmap to Recovery, this is under review and I had hoped to update you on in-person services this week but the Council haven’t yet met.  The earliest we are likely to hold services in church will be Palm Sunday on 28 March 2021 ?

1)  The Video Service led by Rev’d John Yarrien has been uploaded to Youtube and to Facebook, and is scheduled to go live at 5pm on Saturday. https://youtu.be/otHouw50inc

2)  The Audio Service  from the United Reformed Church will this week, the second in Lent, be led by The Revd. Helen Everard

3)  The Bonus Service Option for this week is the video service from the Soul Space Team, based in Bridport United Church.  This is the last in the current series exploring a number of ‘Impossible Commands In the Bible.’  This week explores Jesus' command to "be perfect.”  Impossible?  Well let’s see shall we?
